Overview:
The robotics lab has been designed to complement the theory part of the course ME381- Robotics, offered in 5th Semester to UG students. The topics taught in the lecture class related to forward and inverse kinematics, sensors, actuators, control systems and industrial robot programming are connected to the experiments conducted in the lab, so that students can have hands on learning and also relate the theory with actual practical applications. All the experiments are run using microcontroller control along with a laptop, so that the students become familiar with concepts of microcontroller programming as well as modern sensors, actuators and controllers. This exposes students to the basics of all modern control systems like robots, electric vehicles, drones, CNC machines, etc.

- Actuators: DC motor position and speed control with magnetic encoder
- Forward and inverse kinematics of a two-link serial planar manipulator
- Kinematics of parallel manipulators
- Industrial manipulator programming - PUMA 560 and Svaya SR-L6
- Mobile robot control and its application
