Overview:
This lab is used for the under-graduate courses (ME-401A & ME-344). The objective is to keep pace with the recent technological advancement in the field of energy conversion (IC engines, refrigeration), Fluid Mechanics, and Turbines.

Demonstration of the principles of operation and to evaluate the characteristics of a small-scale hydro power unit (Pelton turbine).

Finding the operating characteristic in serial and parallel mode of a Serial and Parallel centrifugal Pump.

Evaluation of efficiency and performance characteristics of a multi-stage centrifugal compressor.

Evaluation of thermal efficiency and output of a Rankine Cycler.

Performance study on Variable Compression Ratio (VCR) Four-stroke C.I Engine and to obtain characteristics curves at variable operating conditions.

To study the operating characteristics on a cascade tunnel.
