About the Series
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kanpur instituted the Sameer Khandekar Memorial Lecture Series in honor of late Prof. Sameer Khandekar, whose untimely passing in December 2023 left an irreplaceable void in our academic community. Established in 2026, this memorial series brings together leading thinkers, researchers, and changemakers to explore the fields and causes Prof. Khandekar deeply cared about. Open to students, professionals, and the wider community, all are welcome to join us in celebrating a remarkable legacy.
