The viscosity of a binder is a measure of its flow characteristics, and the performance of a bituminous mix is greatly affected by its viscosity. The equipment is used for kinematic viscosity measurement. Using the equipment within the range of 20 to 100°C, temperature is controlled to 0.01°C; above 100°C temperature is controlled to 0.03°C.
