Applications are now open for Walk-in Interviews in Hybrid mode for PhD Admission (July 2026 Intake) at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur
Note: (Candidates who attended interviews held during the regular PhD admissions in summer 2026 or the spot admissions are not eligible.)
Dates & links:
- Deadline for submitting applications: 5th June, 2026 (till 5 pm)
- Notification to the Shortlisted Candidates for Admission Test: 7th June, 2026
- Date of Interview (shortlisted candidates): 12th June, 2026 at 9AM onward in Hybrid mode. For those opting for an in-person interview, venue will be FB470, Faculty Building, IIT Kanpur. For those opting for online interview, meeting link will be mailed, if shortlisted.
PhD applicants must arrange for two letters of reference sent directly to dpgc_che@iitk.ac.in before the deadline.

General Information
1. Reservations [EWS/SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/DAP] shall apply as per Government of India (GoI) norms.
2. The relevant details about the application may be found as follows:
3. Students who are in the final year of their programme (likely to finish the programme by July 2026) may also apply and secure provisional admission for the session commencing in July 2026 (2026-27-I Semester).
4. Financial support (Institute Assistantship/Scholarship) will be provided to non-sponsored PhD, MTech, M.Des and MS (By Research) students.
5. Those employed in industry or a college/university/institute may apply for admission as sponsored, external or part-time candidates.
