Current Research

Our group works at the intersection of material chemistry and biology, with a vision to engineer next-generation nanomaterials for therapeutic and diagnostic applications. We are interested in tackling pressing healthcare challenges, including antimicrobial resistance, resilient infections, and cancer, while also exploring strategies for early disease detection. By integrating rational nanomaterial design with biological insights, we aim to create multifunctional systems that can combat bacterial infections through bioinspired and stimuli-responsive approaches, develop precision nanomedicines capable of modulating the tumor microenvironment and programmed cell-death pathways, and design nanoscale diagnostic platforms for detecting low-abundance biomarkers in complex biological environments. At the same time, we seek to deepen the understanding of how nanomaterials interact with cells and tissues, so as to guide the development of safer and more effective biomedical systems. Through interdisciplinary collaborations and sustained innovation, our long-term goal is to contribute transformative nanotechnologies that advance the future of healthcare.
