Kanpur, March 21, 2026: C3iHub at IIT Kanpur, in collaboration with the Kanpur Police Commissionerate, successfully conducted a comprehensive Cyber Security Awareness Program aimed at strengthening the capabilities of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs). The program focused on key areas including Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), Digital Forensics, and Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The initiative brought together 30 police officials from the Special Intelligence Cell across various districts of Uttar Pradesh, ensuring diverse representation and collaborative learning among enforcement units. The program commenced with an inauguration ceremony attended by senior officials and experts, followed by technical sessions led by experienced instructors.

The program was inaugurated by Shri Chandra Kant Meena, IPS SP(Regional), Special Intelligence Department, Kanpur Nagar Region, and Shri Sunil Kumar Sharma, DSP/ Zonal Officer, Special Intelligence Department, Kanpur Nagar, who graced the occasion along with Dr. Anand Handa, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), C3iHub. The technical sessions were conducted by instructors Mr. Aman Raj, Dr. Satya Prakash, and Mr. Ivan Das, who brought in-depth expertise and practical perspectives to the training.

During the awareness program, Dr. Anand Handa, CSO C3iHub, said, “At C3iHub, IIT Kanpur, we are committed to strengthening the cyber capabilities of law enforcement agencies through focused capacity building and collaboration. This initiative is a step towards enhancing cyber resilience at the grassroots level across the state.”

The program witnessed highly interactive participation, reflecting the increasing need for continuous capacity building in tackling sophisticated cyber incidents. The collaborative environment enabled knowledge exchange between domain experts and enforcement personnel, strengthening the overall impact of the initiative.

This joint effort highlights the commitment of C3iHub and law enforcement authorities to enhance cyber resilience through training, awareness, and institutional collaboration.
