IIT Kanpur had the pleasure of hosting Prof. Boon Siang Jason YEO, Professor and Deputy Head (Education) of Chemistry at the National University of Singapore, Singapore.

Prof. Yeo delivered a lecture under the Chandrakanta Kesavan Lecture Series on "Electrosynthesis of Long-Chain Hydrocarbons." The event was organised by the Chandrakanta Kesavan Center for Energy Policy and Climate Solutions & the Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering, IIT Kanpur. Prof. Yeo shared cutting-edge research insights into developing catalysts and mechanisms for electrochemical CO2 reduction to valuable long-chain hydrocarbons, paving the way for sustainable carbon recycling and green energy solutions.

During this visit, Prof. Yeo engaged in a high-level meeting with Prof. Bushra Ateeq, Dean of International Relations, alongside Prof. Soumyabrata Roy and Prof. Sudarshan Narayanan from the Department of SEE. The discussion explored opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, as well as other potential academic engagements between the two institutes. The meeting also highlighted the existing Joint Degree Program between IIT Kanpur and NUS, reflecting the strong and growing academic partnership between the two institutions.
