IIT Kanpur has been awarded the MIT–IIT Kanpur Seed Fund 2025–26, a prestigious initiative in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The programme supports #early-stage joint research aimed at strengthening international academic partnerships and advancing innovative solutions to global challenges.

In this cycle, IIT Kanpur faculty are part of two key projects: Green Steel, led by Dr. Ju Li, MIT Department of Materials Science and Engineering (DMSE)and Prof. Deepika Swami, Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering and computational modeling of nutrient partitioning in the tumor microenvironment, led by Dr. Alison E. Ringel, MIT Department of Biology and Prof. Sana Khanum, Department of Chemical Engineering. These collaborations reflect IIT Kanpur’s growing contribution to research in sustainable technologies and healthcare. The institute congratulates the faculty members on this achievement.
