The Office of International Relations (OIR), IIT Kanpur organized engaging Language & Cultural Orientation Classes for international students, helping them navigate life in India with greater confidence, understanding, and cultural awareness.

From learning basic Hindi phrases and everyday expressions to gaining insights into Indian customs, communication styles, cuisine, financial transactions, social etiquette, and daily interactions, the sessions equipped students with practical tools to navigate life at IIT Kanpur with greater ease, confidence, and cultural understanding, making their experience both more comfortable and enriching.

Through interactive activities, role plays, games, and real-life scenarios, students had the opportunity to learn, practice, and experience India beyond the classroom. These sessions are part of OIR’s efforts to create a welcoming and inclusive campus environment, while encouraging meaningful cultural exchange between international and Indian students.
