"Mr. Sharma addressed the students on the topic 'Career in Product Management.' He initiated the subject by taking us through his journey and how hatting multiple roles has benefitted him to take on his current position.
The session also highlighted conversations around the critical skills that are crucial for the role of product manager. Mr. Sharma shared that a product manager should strive for empathy, organizational skills, and at the same time, they must be good storytellers. "Mr. Vij addressed the students on the topic 'ECOM Grocery: The Present and The Way Forward.' He initiated the subject by introducing the major players in the e-com grocery market, such as Bigbasket, Amazon, Flipkart, and Jiomart, with regards to their current positioning in the market.
The session also highlighted conversations around the inventory led model where major e-com grocery companies now operate with their warehouses, and sales are driven via marketing. He shared the journey of Grofers moving forward through three essential phases of marketplace business model expansion, supply-chain build-up, and scaling-up of user experience.
Mr. Vij also addressed the current trends in e-com grocery, wherein they witnessed panic buying, followed by the gradual increase in consumer spending.
