Department of Biological Sciences & Bioengineering (BSBE)

Structure of the Ph.D program in BSBE

Students admitted to the PhD program in BSBE come from a variety of backgrounds and programs, and hence the course work is tailored to individual needs, and appropriate advises are given at the time of joining. While the minimum credit requirement from the coursework is 36 (4 courses), the department in general recommends 54 credits (6 courses) from course work as per the template given below. Students with M.D/M.Tech or equivalent background would credit 36 credits. All PhD students must clear the four “zero credit” courses as well.
