Undergraduate

This is a five-year programme in which a student earns a Bachelors and a Masters degree. Two categories of students can get a Masters degree in AE:

Category A: In this case both degrees will be in the AE department.
Category B: This is a two discipline/department programme where the Bachelor’s degree is in the parent discipline/department (other than AE) and the Master’s degree is in AE.

A student from other department can do a Double Major in AE. This is a five-year programme for a Bachelor’s degree with majors in two departments/disciplines that offer B Tech/BS degrees.

A student from other department can include a Minor in AE in his/her existing programme. A Minor can be completed within the time and credits required for a student's regular 4-year Bachelors’ programme

Admissions for B.Tech. program is made once a year through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced) conducted by IITs.

The examination details such as syllabus, pattern, schedule etc… can be found from the JEE-Advanced website.

Note: Admitted students would have option to apply for B. Tech. / M. Tech dual degree program upon satisfaction of certain requirements around 3rd year of program, direct admission to the dual degree program is no longer available.

Undergraduate Program in Aerospace Engineering

The undergraduate program includes courses in the basic sciences, engineering sciences, humanities and social sciences, and a number of electives besides the courses in the principal areas of study in Aerospace Engineering.
