Dispute Resolution

IIT Kanpur follows board approved dispute resolution mechanisms which can be found in the following website:

In brief IIT Kanpur prefers that any dispute arising while execution of the project or at any other stage is settled through discussions between the PIs of the project and the heads of the participating organizations. In case the aggrieved party is a foreign company, the board resolution stipulates that the matter be resolved according to the Arbitration Rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). Specific issues over and above those mentioned in the above document is taken up while preparing the Memorandum of Understanding.
