N. S. Gajbhiye obtained his Ph. D. from the Indian Institute of Sciences in 1981 and joined the department in 1982.

  • Magnetism of nanocrystalline materials [ Garnets, Spinels and Hexagonal ferrites].

  • Nanophase electronic materials: [ BaTiO3, SrTiO3, PZT, PLZT, stabilized ZrO2( TSZ/PSZ )].

  • Electronic properties of nanosturctured binary and ternary transition metal nitrides.

  • Self assembly of monodispersed metal nanoparticles: Co, Co-Pt, Fe, Fe-Pt, Ni, Ag.
