It was a pleasure to welcome the Class of 1974 on their Golden Jubilee reunion. They came with full bang and warmth as they never left the campus. The alumni took a campus tour to Rozi Shiksha Kendra, Airstrip, C3i Center, Mehta Family Center and Imagineering Lab followed by Holi-themed dinner with Dhol dance at night that gave full festive vibes. The felicitation of DAA Dr. Mriganka Sur (2002), Mr. Manoj P. Singh (2009), Mr. Anupam Khanna (2010), Mr. B.K. Shah (2013), Prof. U.B. Desai (2016), Dr. Anand Jagannathan (2020), Dr. Rajeev Gautam (2020) was done during the director's session followed by the chaat picnic at Nursery.
The Class of 1979 officially inaugurated the Waterfront 795 on its 45th reunion on 21 Feb. 2024. The renovation of these iconic fountains that adorn the historic PK Kelkar Library of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur was supported by the Classes of 1979 and 1995. We are grateful to the batch coordinators Mr. Shahid Sheikh, Mr. Rajiv Roy, Mr. Vasant Joshi, and Ms. Madhu Chadha of '79, and Mr. Atal Bansal and Mr. Bal Krushna Birla of '95 for their generosity.
The class of 1979 celebrated their 45th reunion with full zeal and enthusiasm at the campus. They took a campus tour visiting various facilities and centers marveling at the growth and expansion of their Alma mater. Felicitation of Mr. Lalit Jalan (DAA 2002), Prof. Yogendra K. Joshi (DAA 2011), Prof. Rajendra Bordia (DSA 2020), and Mr. Ved Arya (DAA 2020) was done by Prof. S. Ganesh, Director IITK. Everyone enjoyed the nursery chaat picnic and participated in various fun activities.
It was a pleasure to welcome The Class of 1988 on their 35th Reunion that was held during 16-19th Feb. 2024 at the campus. The felicitation of Mr. Gautam Khanna (DSA 2023), Mrs. Vartika Shukla (DAA 2021) and Mr. Subrata Mitra (DAA 2020) was done during the director's session where everyone got a brief overview of ongoing projects and progress of the institute. They enthusiastically took part in phatta cricket and badminton matches and took a campus tour to LVAD Lab, Rozi Siksha Kendra, SIDBI, Tinkering Lab, C3i Hub. Everyone felt mesmerized tasting the mouth-watering dishes and was overwhelmed by the electrifying performance of the music band ‘Indian Ocean’. They took part in a panel discussion with some NGOs and got to know about the collaborative opportunities. It was overall a much-awaited reunion in many terms that left unforgettable memories in our mind.
The Class of 1973 celebrated their Golden Jubilee Reunion during 8-10th February at the campus where they cherished good old memories and celebrated lifelong friendship, and the legacy they left behind. They took a campus tour and visited Gangwal School of Medical Science, C3i Hub, New core Engineering Lab, Mehta Family Center and relieved those days. At IITK nursery, they paid tribute to their classmates by planting two saplings.
The class of 1984 celebrated their 40th reunion with full zeal and enthusiasm. The three-day reunion witnessed life-long friendship, unbreakable bond with their Alma-mater and unlimited fun. The highlights include the classical dance forms of Rajasthani folk dancers followed by Lohri-themed dinner.
It was heartening to interact with the class of 1984 and update them with recent achievements the Institute has witnessed. The Batch Coordinators were Mr. Sanjay Chawla, Mr. Ajay Jain, and Dr. Dev Joneja.
The Class of 1998 celebrated its Silver Jubilee Reunion from 28th-30th December. Everyone was so overwhelmed to visit their Alma-mater after so many years and meeting their old friends. They took a campus tour to SIIC, Technopark, Placement Cell and Opportunity School and got to know about the collaboration opportunities.followed by delicious dinner and fine music. TTheir little ones delightfully played phatta cricket and treasure hunt.
It was great to welcome our youngest class of this year’s reunion, The Class of 2013 on campus again. They took a campus tour to MedTech Lab, Gangwal School, Mehta Family Center, C3i Hub, Technopark, Opportunity School, Airstrip and got to know about the ongoing projects at the institute. Everyone was overwhelmed meeting their old friends and the Dhaba Dinner, Couple Race and Chaat picnic worked as cherry on the top of the cake. It felt like they never left the campus while seeing off them.
The class of 1981 celebrated its 40th reunion from 24-27 Nov 2023 with their friends and family members. It was a wonderful opportunity to reminisce, rekindle, and reconnect with their batchmates. They took part in many activities like, campus tour, picnic at IITK nursery, city tour, and special breakfast at Hall 2. Some showcased their talents in music and singing. This reunion was also a great opportunity for them to see the expansion of the Institute since their graduation in 1981 and also discuss the future roadmap of IITK with the administration.
