Mr. Dheeraj Pandey

Mr. Dheeraj Pandey is the Chairman and CEO of DevRev, Inc., a SaaS company that is focused on using AI and design to automate software and customer engineering workflows. Mr. Pandey did his B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1997, where he was adjudged the best all rounder among the then graduating students in all disciplines. He obtained his masters' degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin. He was also a Graduate Fellow of Computer Science in the University of Texas at Austin Ph.D. program.

Mr. Pandey is a globally respected technology entrepreneur and executive leader, best known as the co-founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of Nutanix, Inc. and DevRev, Inc. He led Nutanix from its inception in 2009 until December 2020, shaping it into one of Silicon Valley's most promising cloud data-center enterprises.

Under his leadership, Nutanix introduced the Nutanix Extreme Computing Platform, an innovation that enables enterprises to store and scale data seamlessly across clusters of commodity computing servers. The platform integrates servers running standard hypervisors with the Nutanix Operating System (NOS), combining Intel processors, memory, SSDs, and HDDs into a unified, scalable storage pool. This design became a benchmark for modern hyper-converged infrastructure. Nutanix quickly emerged as a unicorn-Silicon Valley's term for private companies valued at over $1 billion-achieving this milestone in January 2014, just four years after its founding and two years after beginning sales. Its valuation rose to $2 billion by August 2014. The company raised $241 million across its D and E funding rounds from major global investors including Riverwood Capital, SAP Ventures, Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital, Goldman Sachs, Greenspring Associates, Khosla Ventures, and Lightspeed Ventures.

Before Nutanix, Dheeraj served as Vice President of Engineering at Aster Data Systems (later acquired by Teradata), where he built the engineering team from the ground up and oversaw multiple product releases. He began his career in software engineering roles at Oracle Corporation, Zambeel Inc., and Trilogy Software, contributing significantly to Oracle's storage engine and Exadata development.

With his experience in the technology industry as a global executive leader and technologist, including co-founding and serving as CEO and Chairman of DevRev, Inc. and Nutanix, Inc. and as a software engineer at various companies over the course of nearly 20 years, Mr. Pandey brings to the Board engineering expertise, financial acumen, an in-depth understanding of the technology landscape, and valuable insight on growing a company from a start-up to a publicly traded company. In recognition of his outstanding entrepreneurial achievements and contributions to invisible computing infrastructure encompassing storage, computation, and virtualization Mr. Dheeraj Pandey was conferred with the Distinguished Alumnus Award, 2015 by the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
