Humanoid Club IITK

Student Exchange

The Humanoid-Robot project or HURO as we call it, is an effort by the students of IITK to enter into and make a contribution to the world of autonomous robotics. The team aims to make a humanoid robot capable of performing various pre-determined athletic tasks as required by the FIRA-HURO cup.

Achievements in the year 2023-24 include:
Qualification in FIRA HuroCup Finals 2024

We were able to successfully qualify for the FIRA RoboWorldCup Finals held in São Luís, Brazil, making us the Sole Indian Representative at this prestigious event. The FIRA Hurocup, one of the world's leading robotics competitions, brought together over 360 teams from 22 countries, showcasing talent in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence.

Our bot was designed to excel in a variety of tasks that were part of the competition, including:

Archery: Where precision and accuracy were crucial as our bot aimed and fired arrows at designated targets.

Weightlifting: This task tested the bot's mechanical strength and balance as it lifted weights of varying sizes.

Basketball: A challenge that required our bot to demonstrate agility and control by shooting basketballs into hoops.

The event, held from August 5 to August 9, 2024, hosted by the Multicenter Sebrae in São Luís, the competition provided a platform for teams to exchange knowledge. The qualification in the top 10 teams worldwide is a significant milestone that highlights the potential of our team and the support we have received from Noccarc.
