The Women’s Association (WA) of IIT Kanpur organized a colorful and spirited Dandiya Night on September 27, 2025, at the Community Center, Type-2. The event, open to the entire campus community, witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, staff, students, and their families.

The evening began with lighting of lamp and devi pooja, setting a traditional and devotional tone for the celebration. This was followed by a lively Garba performance by the WA Executive Team, joined by former Secretaries of the Women’s Association. Their graceful dance set the stage for the rest of the evening.

Members of the campus community then came forward with their own vibrant performances, adding to the festive atmosphere. The highlight of the evening was the energetic rounds of Garba and Dandiya, where participants of all ages joined in with enthusiasm and joy.

The celebration featured food stalls offering delicious treats, ensuring that the festive spirit was accompanied by culinary delights.

The Dandiya Night was not only a celebration of tradition but also an occasion that brought the campus community together in a spirit of unity and joy. The performances, energy, and participation made it a memorable evening for all.
