Diamond Jubilee Academic Complex was inaugurated on 20 April, 2022 by Dr Radhakrishnan K Koppillil, Chairperson, BoG, IITK. Shri Pradeep Goyal, Board member, DD Prof S Ganesh, various Deans, Heads of Departments & other faculty & staff members. This building with area of 34994 square meters is the largest academic building in the institute. The building will be used for various UG, PG Labs, Lecture Halls & some departments such as Department of Design and Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering etc.

Engineering Sciences Building -2 with a total area of 21287 sqm is now ready for occupation. The building was inaugurated in July,2022 and will be used for various departments' labs and faculty offices.

Engineering Science Building -1 (top 4 floors) has been expanded with additional floors and extension. The building was inaugurated in July, 2022 and is ready for occupation. It will be used for various departments' labs and faculty offices.

A Water-Cooled Central AC plant of capacity 4000 TR was recently installed in IIT Kanpur.
