How to Reach IIT Kanpur
By Train:
Kanpur Central Railway Station is located on the Delhi-Kolkata route and is well connected to major cities of East, West, North, South and Central India. The campus is located at a distance of about 16km from the station and is easily reachable via public transport. One can also hire OLA or UBER taxis and autorickshaws to reach the campus. The average commute time is anywhere between 30-40 minutes.
By Air:
Candidates that are planning to come via airways are strongly recommended to fly into the Lucknow Airport (aka Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport) from where they can either take the intercity buses to reach the Kanpur bus station or hire outstation taxis directly to IIT Kanpur. The average commute time is anywhere between 2-3 hours.
Kanpur Aiport is also advised for the direct flights form Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata. The discance is approx 30 km form venue and it takes an hour by taxi.
