The Institute Chess Tournament 2025 concluded successfully on 1st and 2nd November 2025, with enthusiastic participation from more than 60 IIT Kanpur staff members. The event was conducted in two categories — General and DAP.
The final match was held on 2nd November 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, New SAC.

In the finals held on 20th July 2025 at Institute football ground.
Team Black Tornado won the tournament by securing the 1'st Position.
