About Us
Our long course swimming pool was inaugurated in 1975 whereas the short course was newly established in 2024. The pool complex is functional from March to the end of November and provides its recreational services for the benefit of all members of the Campus Community. Keeping in mind the safety and hygiene, there is qualified and trained pool staff that work around the clock to ensure the cleanliness of the pool and your safety. Swimming coaching classes for beginners are conducted in the small pool under the guidance of trained and experienced coaches. The swimming pool is the second home of the IIT Kanpur Aquatics team which participates in Swimming and Water Polo competitions and have been very successful in Inter IIT Aquatics Meet since the last two decades.
