Snehan Childcare Centre of IIT Kanpur established in November, 2014. At the beginning, the Centre started with a half day Playgroup service. Within one month, the Centre expanded to offer full-day care services with the introduction of Activity Group ( for the school goers) followed by Crèche. Ms. Ranjita Chandra is the visionary founder teacher -coordinator of Snehan; she has been at the heart of Snehan’s development since its inception. With the support from the Institute and her extensive experience in Early Childhood Care and Education, she has been instrumental in shaping the Centre’s growth. Gradually, beside regular daycare services, the Centre has added various other activities for campus children -Weekend daycare, Summer, Winter and Spring Camps. Today, SNEHAN is functioning successfully and continuing to thrive under her leadership.
