SMSS lab showcases high societal impact projects to Portescap
SMSS Laboratory hosted Mr. Amitava Sur (Managing Director), Ms. Usha Vandavasi (CFO), and Dr. Samsul Ekram (Head Engineering R&D) from Portescap India Pvt Ltd. Portescap has been supporting Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur for the last four years on different research initiatives, such as designing and developing a miniature rotary actuator based on flexinol SMA, an adaptive smart stick for sit-to-stand motion, etc. under #CSR funding. The team appreciated the in-progress research work and the impact it is intended to create. The team also interacted with Prof. Bishakh Bhattacharya and lab members, to understand ongoing latest research, and discussed future collaborations as well.
