Heartiest Congratulations to Mr. Kanhaiya Lal Chaurasiya and Mr. Yashaswi Sinha from the Department of Mechanical Engineering for being awarded the WINNER under the ISSS Technology Award 2022 category constituted by Institute for Smart Structures and Systems (ISSS), a professional society at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore.

Mr. Kanhaiya (Senior Project Scientist) and Mr. Yashaswi (Project Engineer) have worked with Prof. Bishakh Bhattacharya and got this award for their innovation on “Bio-inspired shape memory alloy based artificial muscle actuator for medical and space robots application."

This Technology Award is designed for scientists/engineers who undertake major initiatives to commercialize a product in the area of micro and smart systems.
