Dr.Trivandrum Ramakrishnan Ramadas

Dr. Trivandrum Ramakrishnan "T. R." Ramadas is an Indian mathematician who specializes in algebraic and differential geometry, and mathematical physics. Dr. Ramadas is currently a Distinguished Professor at Chennai Mathematical Institute, Chennai.







Profile

Dr. Ramadas did his integrated five year MSc in Physics in 1977 from IIT Kanpur. He later joined TIFR as a doctoral student in physics finally changing to mathematics where he completed his doctorate in 1982. Dr. Ramadas was a Research Scientist at ICTP,Trieste and was later promoted to Head, MathematicsGroup, International Centre for Theoretical Physics,Trieste. He was awarded the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in the mathematical sciences category in 1998.
