Dr. Sanjib Senapati

Dr. Sanjib Senapati is an Indian biophysicist, biochemist, biotechnologist and a professor at the Bhupat and Jyoti Mehta School of Biosciences, Department of Biotechnology of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He is known for his studies in the fields of protein dynamics, green chemistry and nanoclusters and is a Fulbright scholar. The Department of Biotechnology of the Government of India awarded him the National Bioscience Award for Career Development in 2015.

Profile

Dr. Senapati did his masters from the University of Calcutta and subsequently earned his doctorate in Chemistry from IIT Kanpur in 2001. He then joined the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) as a faculty member of the department of biotechnology and holds the position of a professor at the Bhupat and Jyoti Mehta School of Biosciences at IITM. The team led by him focuses their research in the fields of protein dynamics, green chemistry and nanoclusters.
