Safer Internet Day 2025 - Cybersecurity awareness workshop at Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Kanpur

The Computer Centre at IIT Kanpur marked Safer Internet Day 2025 with an impactful cybersecurity awareness workshop at Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Kanpur. The event, aligned with this year's global theme "Together for a Better Internet," brought together approximately 95 students and teachers for a comprehensive session on digital safety and responsible internet usage. The workshop covered a comprehensive range of topics, including emerging cyber threats, essential cyber hygiene practices, analysis of recent cyber incidents, and detailed guidance on incident reporting mechanisms. Participants engaged in practical demonstrations and interactive sessions designed to reinforce their understanding of safe internet practices. This initiative forms part of a broader nationwide campaign spearheaded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to foster safer digital habits among India's young internet users.
