Today marks the first anniversary of the establishment of Staff Training Unit at IIT Kanpur. Keeping up with the primary objective of its formation, STU has been organizing several upskilling and reskilling training programs. On this occasion, I extend my heartiest congratulations to the entire team of STU and wish them all the best!
The Staff Training Unit deserves heartfelt applause for orchestrating such a wide-ranging and impactful series of programs in the previous year. With thirteen workshops in a year time-frame with each one becoming a testament to commitment, foresight, and excellence will go a long way in making a skilled workforce for the institute and the country.
The Breadth of Coverage undertaken by the Staff Training Unit stands out. From Contract Labour Management to English language skills, the topics reflect a deep understanding of both operational and developmental needs. The practical focus was always at the core. Emphasizing stores and purchase, data analysis, time management, and Microsoft Office ensures that the training translates directly into efficiency and effectiveness on the ground. Few of the workshops has direct impact on policy and protocol mastery. Sessions on Conduct Rules, Acts & Statutes, and records maintenance show how the unit prioritizes compliance and governance.
Besides empowering the employees, these skill-building workshops not only enhance productivity but also boost morale and professional growth. This kind of dedication to capacity building and continuous learning truly sets a benchmark for excellence.
Kudos to the entire team for turning knowledge into action and action into impact. You've laid down the blueprint for a smarter, stronger workforce.
I sincerely hope that this enriching journey of workshops continues in the times ahead, further empowering the IIT Kanpur fraternity to thrive, excel, and lead with confidence.
This milestone marks the first anniversary of the IIT Kanpur Staff Training Unit--a year dedicated to empowering our workforce and enhancing institutional capabilities. Over the past year, the unit has consistently invested in the development of our staff by bringing in renowned resource persons from both within the institute and esteemed external organizations.
Despite operating with limited resources, the Staff Training Unit has gained recognition for maximizing the potential and skillsets of our employees. The team has worked tirelessly to design and deliver impactful training programs, ensuring our staff are well-equipped to reach their full potential.
We are fortunate to have a robust system in place that supports continuous workforce development. I am confident that the Staff Training Unit will continue with the same commitment and dedication, and we can look forward to many more enriching training workshops in the year ahead.
