I focus in solid mechanics, concentrating on vibration control, smart materials, and metamaterials for vibro-acoustic applications. My research investigates the application of piezoelectric sensors for active vibration detection and shape memory alloys for adjustable bandgap materials, with the objective of designing adaptive systems that respond intelligently to dynamic settings. I explore metamaterial lattices for vibration attenuation, where customized structural designs offer innovative methods for regulating wave propagation. Through the integration of material innovation and structural dynamics, I intend to enhance the development of designed systems that attain superior adaptability, efficiency, and robustness.
