Ravi Kumar is a Mechanical Engineer and Senior Research Associate at the SMSS Lab, IIT Kanpur, currently contributing to the Cargo Hyperloop Project. He has submitted his Ph.D. thesis in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kanpur, where his research focuses on rail-road vehicle modeling and subsystem coupling for digital twin development integrated with machine learning techniques. His areas of expertise include Finite Element Modeling, Structural and Multibody Dynamics, and data-driven diagnostics, with a particular emphasis on rail-road vehicle dynamics. During doctoral research activities, he has presented his work at several international conferences and has received an award in Go-Kart vehicle design and racing.
