Deferred Placement Programme (DPP)

Catering to the increasing number of students opting for entrepreneurship over placements, a few IITs have introduced the Deferred Placement Program. IIT Kanpur is considering to have this programme for the first time this year.

Deferred placements enable the students to defer placements by a year or two to start their own ventures. They can come back and seek campus placements if their ventures fail.

By this programme, the student is assured of a PlanB to act as a back-up in case the venture doesn’t work out.
