Prof. Aloke Dutta


Prof. Aloke Dutta
has always been and is a revered teacher, an eminent researcher, and a guiding mentor at IIT Kanpur. Over his distinguished career, he has profoundly influenced countless students, many of whom have gone on to leave their footprints across the globe in academia, industry, and research. His contributions to semiconductor device modeling are highly respected and have helped the global community better understand the nuances of contemporary device physics over the years.

His passion for teaching and research excellence is reflected in numerous awards he has received, including the Excellence in Teaching Award, Distinguished Teacher Award, Ranjit Singh Chair, and the Prof. T R Viswanathan Chair in Teaching Excellence at IIT Kanpur.

This symposium takes great pride in celebrating Prof. Dutta’s 65th birthday; a milestone that honors not just his pioneering technical achievements, but also his enduring legacy as a mentor and role model.
