Getting Started
The Comsol Multiphysics 6.3 software is available for download from the CC FTP site.
For older versions, check the FAQ page.
Download the file to a local drive (e.g., D:\), extract
it, and run the setup.
License Configuration
License Server: 1718@akash3.cc.iitk.ac.in
Campus network connectivity is required. Configure DNS Suffixes if using static IP (how-to).
Installation Walkthrough
Swipe or tap arrows to navigate
Run the setup file, Select language and click "Next".
Select "New COMSOL 6.3 Installation".
Select License Format: <port>@<host>. Enter Port
1718 and Hostname akash3.cc.iitk.ac.in. Click "Check".
Click "Close".
Uncheck "License Manager" if installing on client machine. Click "Next".
Check "Configure security policy" and select "Install for all users".
Click "Next".
Click "Next".
If Matlab is installed on the respective PC, browse
to the matlab installation root (e.g.
C:\Program files\MATLAB\R2022b).
Click "Next" and "Install".
Click "Install".
Wait for the installation to complete.
Click "Close".
Installation Complete!
Comsol Multiphysics 6.3 is ready to use.
All components installed and activated successfully!
