Comsol 4.3 Installation Guide

The Comsol 4.3 software is available for download from the CC FTP site.
Download Comsol 4.3

Extract using 7-Zip (32-bit, 64-bit) to a local drive (e.g., D:\) and run setup.

License Server: akash3.cc.iitk.ac.in (Port: 1718)

Campus network connectivity is required. Configure DNS Suffixes if using static IP (how-to).

If Matlab is installed, you'll be asked to specify the Matlab installation root (e.g., C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2010b) during setup.

Step 1

Click on the icon for New COMSOL 4.3 Installation.

Step 2

Select I accept the terms in license agreement.

Step 3

Select the option <port number>@<host name> from the License Format dropdown.

Step 4

Enter Port: 1718 and Host: akash3.cc.iitk.ac.in. Click Check to verify.

Campus Network connectivity required. Configure DNS Suffixes.

Step 5

License information verified. Click Close.

Step 6

Select your Windows version (32-bit or 64-bit) and click Next.

Step 7

Select Full Installation from the quick selection dropdown.

Step 8

Uncheck License Manager and click Next.

Step 9

If Matlab is installed, browse to its root directory (e.g., C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2010b) and click Next.

Step 10

Click Install to begin installation.

Finish

Installation complete. Click Finish.

Comsol 4.3 is ready to use.
