Getting Started
The ANSYS 2020 software is available for download from the CC FTP Site.
Download ANSYS 2020
Extract the zipped file to a local drive (e.g., D:\) and run
the setup from the extracted folder.
Important Prerequisites
It is recommended to install "Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2015" before installing ANSYS 2020 (If already installed, please ignore this note).
License Configuration
To Run and Activate ANSYS, Campus Network connectivity is required.
Add DNS Suffixes in IPv4 address properties. Configure DNS Suffixes here

Installation Walkthrough
Swipe or tap arrows to navigate
Extract the ZIP file to a local folder and run the installer. Click on the "Install ANSYS Products" button.
Select "I Agree" to accept the license agreement and click on the "Next" button.
Click on the "Next" button to proceed with the installation path.
Select required products (Default recommended) and click on the "Next" button.
Select "Yes, automatically configure my interfaces" and click on the "Next" button.
Click on the "Next" button to continue.
Click on the "Next" button to proceed.
Wait for ANSYS 2020 installation to complete, then click "Next" button. Uncheck "Launch survey upon exiting" and click "Exit" button.
From the START menu, right-click on "ClientANSLIC_ADMIN Utility 2020 R1" and select "Run as administrator". Click on "Specify the License Server Machine".
Click on "Add Server Machine Specification".
Input ANSYS License Server IP address in "Hostname 1:". Use
"akash3.cc.iitk.ac.in" or "172.31.1.198" and
click "OK" button.

Installation Complete!
ANSYS 2020 is ready to use.
