| Installation of Ansys 2020 in Microsoft Windows |
| Note : It is recommended to install "Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2015" before installing Ansys2020 (If already installed, please ignore this note). To download "Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2015" from CC ftp site click here. |
| The procedure below explains how to install Ansys 2020 on Microsoft Windows. The Ansys software is compressed to a single file and available for download from CC ftp site. To download Ansys for Windows 64-bit click here. |
| Click on the "Install ANSYS Products" button. |

| Select "I Agree" and Click on the "Next" button. |
 |
Click on the "Next" button. |
 |
Select required products (Default recommended) and Click on the "Next" button. |
 |
Select "Yes, automatically configure my interfaces" and click on the "Next" button. |
 |
Click on the "Next" button. |
 |
Click on the "Next" button. |
 |
Wait for Ansys 2020 installation to complete then click "Next" button. Uncheck "Lounch survey upon exiting" and click "Exit" button. |

| From the START menu right click on "ClientANSLIC_ADMIN Utility 2020 R1" and select "Run as administrator" and Click on "Specify the License Server Machine". |

| Click on "Add Server Machine Specification". |

| Input Ansys License Server IP address in "Hostname 1:". (Network License Server for IIT Campus is "akash3.cc.iitk.ac.in or 172.31.1.198") & click on "OK" button. Note: To Run and Activate Ansys, Campus Network connectivity in required. Add DNS Suffixes if IP address is "Static". To configure DNS Suffixes Click Here |
