Getting Started
The Comsol 6.1 software is available for download from the CC FTP site.
Download (Intel Mac)
Download (ARM Mac)
Download the file to your local machine, open the DMG, and run the installer.
License Configuration
License Server: 1718@akash3.cc.iitk.ac.in
Campus network connectivity is required. Configure DNS Suffixes if using static IP (how-to).
Installation Walkthrough
Swipe or tap arrows to navigate
Right Click and open the Installer file. Select "English" and click on "Next".
Click on the icon preceding "New COMSOL 6.1 Installation".
Accept terms. Select License Format: <port>@<host>.
Input Port 1718 and Hostname akash3.cc.iitk.ac.in.
Click "Check".
Click "Close".
Uncheck "License Manager" and click "Next".
Check "Set permanent security policy for applications", Click "Next".
If Matlab is installed on the respective PC, browse to the matlab installation root. Click "Next".
Click "Next" and "Install".
Installation Complete!
Comsol 6.1 is ready to use.
