Research Context:
Zanskar in Ladakh is facing growing energy insecurity as melting glaciers, failing micro-hydropower projects, and fragile solar systems reduce reliable electricity, especially in winter. With hydropower seasonal, solar hard to maintain, and diesel generators offering only limited supply, villages struggle to meet basic household and livelihood needs.
