Content: Prof. Somitra Sanadhya, WSAIS, IIT Kanpur, presented his research on multi-layered QR codes at USENIX 2026. The work, co-authored with Pulkit Garg, Robin Verma, and Dr. Gaurav Gupta, demonstrates how multiple values can be embedded in a single QR code and decoded differently based on scanning distance, with potential applications in QR data capacity, advertising, and cybersecurity.
