His current research focuses on the development and analysis of distributed and asynchronous optimization algorithms, online convex optimization algorithms, stochastic optimization algorithms, and the application of these algorithms to problems in machine learning, communications, and smart grid systems. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor with the IEEE Communications Letters and IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing. He is also the recipient of the 2018 INSA Medal for Young Scientists and the 2019 INAE Young Engineer Award.
Dr. Tanmay Rajpurohit
Genpact
Tanmay Rajpurohit received the B. Tech. degree in aerospace engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India, in 2001, the M.S. degree in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA, in 2002, and the M.A. degree in economics from New York University, New York, NY, in 2005. In 2005 he returned to India to bolster the Nation's manufacturing and engineering sector. In 2013 he returned to the US to pursue his doctoral studies at Georgia Tech. In the interim he received the M.S. degree in applied mathematics from Georgia Tech in 2016 and the M.S. degree in computer science specializing in machine learning along with a PhD degree in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech in 2018. Before joining Genpact digital team Tanmay Rajpurohit was working at Oak Ridge National Labs as postdoctoral research associate. At ORNL Tanmay Rajpurohit was elected president of Oak Ridge Postdoc Association and member of Postdoc Program Advisory Committee. Tanmay is currently leading the research and development on state-of-the-art ML/AI models and their implementation into CORA AI products. His research interests include nonlinear and stochastic systems, adaptive control, optimization, stochastic games, machine learning, robotics, artificial intelligence and deep learning.
Dr. Kaivalya Bakshi
Southwest Research Institute
Kaivalya Bakshi graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA with MS (2014) and Phd (2018) degrees in Aerospace Engineering. His interests lie in the inter-disciplinary areas of controls, robotics and autonomous systems and has previously worked in large-scale multi-agent stochastic and optimal control with a focus on networked systems including mean field games. In the past few years he has worked with the Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, Cambridge, MA and GE Research, Niskayuna, NY on UAVs, autonomous trains, laser-metal 3D printing and augmented reality and is currently working with the Southwest Research Institute, San Antonio, Texas on real-time planning-control via MPC for L4 vehicles and control system design for a mobile manipulator.
Dr. Ashwin Kalyan
