Programme	I.I.T. Kanpur and the S.N.Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata are jointly organizing a national conference Physics 2005 : 100 Years after Einstein’s Revolution, to celebrate the World Year of Physics. The aim is to bring together some of the leading physicists in India to recall the seminal contributions of Einstein, to discuss the developments in the subject since his days, and to exchange their vision for the future of science, in general. It is from such stimulating exchanges that the subject derives sustenance to go beyond founding fathers like Einstein and eventually achieve their grand dream of understanding the natural world ¾ in all its diversity and complexity ¾ in terms of a few simple equations.
