Outlook Configuration Guide

Use "External Network" settings for Laptops/Mobiles and "Internal Network" for Desktops.

Step 1

Open the "Control Panel".

Step 2

Click on "Mail (Microsoft Outlook)".

Step 3

Click "Add" to create a new profile.

Step 4

Enter a profile name (e.g., "IITK Webmail") and click "OK".

Step 5

Select "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next".

Step 6

Select "POP or IMAP" and click "Next".

Step 7

Enter your user and server information (see table above), then click "More Settings".

Step 8

Go to the "Outgoing Server" tab and check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication".

Step 9

Go to the "Advanced" tab and update the port and encryption settings as per the table above.

Step 10

After the test completes successfully, click "Close".

Step 11

Click "Finish" to complete the setup.

Outlook is ready to use.
