Two Review Articles in Progress in Energy and Combustion Science from Engine Research Laboratory.

Progress in Energy and Combustion Science(PECS) publishes review articles on all aspects of energy and combustion science, providing a comprehensive in-depth overview of a particular topic (5 Year Impact Factor: 23.6). The following two articles from Engines Research Laboratory (Mechanical Engineering) have appeared in the July 2017 issue of this journal and will be of interest:

Mr. Sanjay Kumar (Ph.D ME) and Ms. Pulak Bhushan (Project Associate) working with Dr. Shantanu Bhattacharya have won the Gandhian Young Technological Innovator award-2017 (by Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technologies and Institutions) for their work on "Paper based device for rapid detection of Dengue".

Dr. Bishakh Bhattacharya, Department of Mechanical Engineering has joined the "ISSS Journal of Micro and Smart Systems" as Associate Editor.

Dr. Mohit Law's group awarded First Prize at the i2-Academia Pavilion at the IMTEX2017 exhibition.

Dr. Mohit Law's lab (Machine tool dynamics lab) participated in the i2-Academic Pavilion at the 18th Indian Machine tool exhibition in Bangalore from 26th Jan. to 1st Feb. 2017, and won the first prize for their work on ‘Active damping and isolation of machine tool vibrations’. The prize includes a ₹ 50,000/- cash award.
