Applications are invited from Indian citizens for positions of Project Scientists (02) [or Senior Project Associates (02)] to work on a DST sponsored project (DST-CHM-20120002), with the undersigned as the principal investigator (PI), for a period upto March 31, 2015.

The employment is purely temporary and initially for a period of one year. Details of requirements are as follows:

Post: Project Scientist (02) [or Senior Project Associate (02)]
Salary Range: 22000-2200-44000 p. m. [or 18000-1800-36000 p. m.] (Consolidated).
Essential: Candidate should be Ph. D. in Physical Chemistry.
Desirable: Candidate should be well-versed with ab-initio quantum chemical methods, scientific visualization packages and should have knowledge of FORTRAN programming and applications to chemically interesting problems.

If suitably qualified Ph. D. candidates are not available, those with M.Sc. + 1 year appropriate research experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Project Associates (SPA) in the salary range (consolidated) 18000-1800-36000.

The job involves development of parallel codes and/or applications of ab-initio methods to hydration of molecules of chemical/biological interest.
