Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the position of one Project Scientist to work on a DST sponsored project (DST-CHM-20060072), with the undersigned as the principal investigator (PI), for a period of one year, up to December 31, 2014 in the Department of Chemistry, IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: PhD (Theoretical Chemistry)

Desired Qualification: Candidate should be well-versed with ab-initio quantum chemical methods, Spin-orbit coupling, Non-adiabatic coupling, excited state calculations, electron detachment processes and should have a knowledge of FORTRAN programming and quantum chemistry calculation. Candidates must have a good publication record in the subject area.

Salary Range: Rs. 22000-2200-44000.

The post is purely temporary, and is for a period of one year. Interested candidates must apply on a plain paper giving full details of qualifications and experience.
