IIT KANPUR invites applications for the post of a Project Post-Doctoral Fellow in Advanced Energy Systems Modeling.

We are inviting applications for the position of project post-doctoral Fellow to join the research team at IIT Kanpur, working on the development of advanced energy systems modeling tools. The project focuses on building techno-economic models for energy systems using mathematical modeling and optimization techniques.

Position: Project Post-Doctoral Fellow– Energy Systems Modelling.

Duration of Appointment

• 1 Year or till the end of the project (whichever is earlier), renewed annually based on performance & funding.

Salary Range: 60000-5000-85000 per month consolidated (Salary shall be commensurate with experience & skills).

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering/ Energy/ Power Systems with excellent grades (>7.0 CGPA or 70%) in the Bachelor's & /or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering /Energy Engineering or an equivalent academic degree.
• Hands-on experience with MATLAB and/or Python programming.

Desirable experience

• Experience in electrical energy system modelling and techno-economic analysis, knowledge of power generation and storage systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication journals.
• Strong track record of publication in reputed international journals.
