Applications are invited for temporary & contractual post to work on Printing Prepress & equipment maintenance under the project entitled “Centre of Excellence for Large Area Flexible Electronics (Phase-II) at IIT Kanpur” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur.

Name of Post: Project Technician OR Senior Project Mechanic

Minimum Qualification:

Desirable Qualification and Expertise:

• Experience and/or a degree in mechanical engineering
• Experience in printing technology and Screen printing prepress is a plus
• Equipment maintenance
• Working in laboratory environment, handling of chemicals
• Good command of English language in reading/writing and speaking is mandatory
• Basic knowledge of MSOffice programs (word, excel, Powerpoint)

Nature of work:

The candidate’s tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Operation of the screen printing pre-press and printing equipment
• Maintenance of printing equipment
• Regular visits to Kanpur markets for tools and materials purchase
• Maintaining printing and prepress consumables stock
• Prepare presentations and reports

Salary: Project Technician: Rs. 18000-1500-45000

Senior Project Mechanic: Rs 13000-1100-32800

Term of the appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of three years or end of the project, whichever is earlier

Number of positions: One each
