Project Technical Officer

Applications are invited for a temporary and contractual post of Project Technical Officer under the project entitled: “Field-deployable quantum-enhanced sensors on integrated hybrid platform” funded by the National Quantum Mission (NQM) at IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification:

B.Sc. with 15 years of relevant experience

or

3-year Engineering Diploma with 15 years of relevant experience

Desirable Qualifications and Expertise:

The candidate should have one or more of the following:

• At least 15 years of experience in operating and maintaining a precision machining workshop
• Operation and maintenance of conventional and CNC machines such as lathes, milling machines, and drilling machines
• Hands-on experience in prototyping and fabrication of mechanical components
• Knowledge of tool and die systems, cutting tools, and metrology instruments
• Experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electromechanical equipment
• Familiarity with safety standards and protocols for workshop environments
• Experience collaborating with research teams for the fabrication of customized components
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and CAD designs

Salary Range:

Rs. 29,000–2,400–72,200/- per month (based on qualification and experience)

Term of Appointment:

The appointment is purely temporary and contractual, for three years, extendable based on performance and project requirements.
