Applications are invited for a position of Junior Research Fellow under the ANRF sponsored project titled, “Interface Driven Spin-Orbit Torques in Metallic and Insulating Magnets” in the department of Physics. The details of the qualifications and requirements are given below:

Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Number of positions: One

Minimum Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics / Materials Science / Electronics / Nanoscience/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication or equivalent.

Desirable: NET/GATE qualification with an excellent academic record and experience/knowledge in the following areas:

• The candidate is expected to have knowledge in solid state devices and exposure in the field of spintronics and nano fabrication through project work.
• Performing simulation, Python-based coding for the instrument interfacing and micromagnetic simulation.

Job description: The selected candidate will be assigned project related work. The candidate will jointly work with Prof. Zakir Hossain and Prof. Arnab Bose.

Salary: Rs. 37,000 + 20% HRA

Duration of initial appointment: One year with provision for extension upon satisfactory performance until end of the project duration.
